Italy
Italy is a country in Southern Europe. It is a peninsula that reaches into the Mediterranean Sea. Italy’s landscape is rugged and mountainous, but there are also some plains and areas of low land near the coast. The weather in Italy is generally cold in winter and very hot in summer. The south of Italy is especially hot and dry in summer. Sometimes Italy has landslides, earthquakes and volcanoes. The capital of Italy is Rome.
